About Us
The Association of Resident Doctors, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (ARD-UATH)
Our Story
Founding Story
The Association of Resident Doctors, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (ARD-UATH), was formally established in October 1994 by a dedicated group of young medical professionals committed to creating a platform for unity, advocacy, and professional development.Â
Recognising the unique challenges faced by Resident Doctors from demanding training schedules to welfare concerns, the founding members sought to create a strong voice that could engage stakeholders, influence policy, and improve healthcare delivery within the Federal Capital Territory and beyond. Over the years, ARD-UATH has grown into a vibrant body, actively contributing to national healthcare discourse while remaining deeply rooted in its mission to protect, promote, and empower its members.
